Sessions

In our sessions we aim, over the term, to ensure the children have had the opportunity to try a range of athletics disciplines focussing on agility, balance & co-ordination in a fun and supportive environment. In addition if the local schools are attending activities such as cross country, sportshall, quad kids and district athletics we help prepare them for these in our sessions too.

A session always starts with a game, a lap around the 400m track and athletic warm up drills. The session will then either focus on sprinting, endurance, jumping or throwing. We also try to incorporate agility and strength exercises into the sessions. Our sessions finish either with a lap around the track or a team relay followed by some stretching.

Coaches

All of our coaches are England Athletics qualified coaches, with up to date DBS, child safeguarding and paediatric first aid.

We offer professional coaching for all athletics events, and speed coaching for young people to enhance their own sports.
